Tarpon Arts Presents World Premiere Multimedia Concert

Famous locals, musician Amy Collins and artist Christopher Still, are featured in the world premiere of Where Land, Water and Music Meet. The composition was inspired by the scenic natural beauty of Tarpon Springs. Presented by Tarpon Arts Friday May, 8, 2026.

Tarpon Arts proudly announces the world premiere of Where Land, Water and Music Meet, an immersive multimedia concert experience combining original music, visual art, and place-based storytelling. The event will be held at the Tarpon Springs Heritage Museum, located at scenic Craig Park in Historic Downtown Tarpon Springs, on Friday, May 8, 2026.

At the heart of the program is a newly commissioned work by composer Kimberly Osberg, performed by the internationally acclaimed chamber ensemble Amici. The composition is inspired by the scenic natural beauty of Tarpon Springs & the vivid, iconic artwork of Christopher Still, whose paintings celebrate Florida’s landscapes, history, and cultural identity. Surrounded by candlelight, Amici will perform the title composition as Still’s paintings are projected in the background and narrative insights are provided by Susan Giles Wantuck, creating a dynamic dialogue between the music and art. The result is an intimate, layered experience that connects sound, visual art, and a sense of place in a setting that reflects Tarpon Springs’ rich cultural heritage.

The evening begins at 6:00 PM with a one-hour pre-performance panel discussion featuring composer Kimberly Osberg, Amici musicians Amy Collins, Francesca Arnone, and Andrea Feitl, and artist Christopher Still. The discussion will be moderated by classical music host and digital storyteller, Susan Giles Wantuck of WSMR and WUSF, who will also serve as emcee for the evening.

Following the discussion, guests may explore Still’s original works and large-scale giclée reproductions on view throughout the museum during a 30-minute intermission. The museum is home to the artist’s permanent exhibition, The Great State of Florida; Paintings by Christopher Still, making the venue an integral part of the evening’s experience. The concert performance of Where Land, Water and Music Meet will begin at approximately 7:30 PM.
